Real Madrid have reacted to the death of Germany football legend, Uwe Seeler.
The LaLiga champions, in a statement via its website on Thursday, expressed sadness over Seeler’s death.
DAILY POST reports that Seeler passed away today at the age of 85.
“Real Madrid C. F., its president and Board of Directors, are deeply saddened by the passing of Uwe Seeler, a legend in German football and at his lifelong club, Hamburg, where he played from 1953 to 1972.
“Real Madrid extends its love and condolences to his family, teammates, his club and all of his loved ones.
“Uwe Seeler played for Germany in four World Cups (1958, 1962, 1966 and 1970).
“Uwe Seeler has passed away at the age of 85. May he rest in peace,” Real Madrid’s statement read.
